About the Job
TotalEnergies REN MENA Onshore is at the forefront of developing and managing renewable energy projects across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, focusing on competitive RFPs and tender bids.

This role demands a proactive approach, excellent autonomy, and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the REN MEA Corporate Affairs Director & Compliance, the FP&A professional will play a pivotal role in driving financial excellence across the region.


Key Responsibilities

1. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)

  • Adhere strictly to the Group’s QHSE policies and ensure compliance with affiliate-specific procedures.
  • Participate in QHSE training programs and promote a safety-first culture among colleagues.
  • Report hazards, incidents, or injuries promptly and assist in incident investigations.
  • Exercise full authority to halt operations for safety concerns when necessary.

2. Financial Management and Reporting

  • Implement and manage financial and controlling processes for subsidiaries in MENA, including new Special Purpose Companies (SPCs).
  • Oversee the preparation of budgets and Long-Term Plans (LTP) for projects/entities in the MENA region.
  • Consolidate and analyze monthly and quarterly financial reports, ensuring alignment with group reporting standards (P&L, Balance Sheet, Interco reconciliations).
  • Provide financial insights, dashboards, and syntheses for all regional projects.
  • Support SAP implementation and manage data via online portals like Netsuite, Anaplan, and Shuttle.

3. Cost Control and Analysis

  • Consolidate accounts for onshore projects in the MENA region and validate financial fluxes.
  • Monitor project-specific costs against budgets with support from BD and PD teams.
  • Conduct cost analysis, variance tracking, and prepare detailed dashboards for management review.
  • Validate and approve invoices for project-related costs, ensuring adherence to agreed budgets.

4. Annual Audit and Compliance

  • Ensure timely completion of audits and tax filings for affiliates.
  • Collaborate with auditors to address queries and finalize reports without major discrepancies.
  • Submit audit reports to relevant authorities within stipulated deadlines.

5. Process Implementation and Resource Management

  • Establish financial processes for new subsidiaries and service level agreements (SLAs) as required.
  • Coordinate with affiliate teams and head office to streamline operations and ensure task completion.
  • Manage financial data across ERPs like Netsuite and Anaplan while ensuring compliance with TotalEnergies processes and guidelines.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for an experienced financial professional with the following qualifications:

  • Experience: Over 10–15 years in financial management or cost control, preferably in the energy sector.
  • Education: Qualified finance professional with a postgraduate/master’s degree (preferred).
  • Skills: Proficiency in SAP, advanced MS Office skills, and exceptional communication abilities.
  • Languages: Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in French is highly advantageous.
